Louisa Lytton was born on the 7th February 1989 to parents Alan and Jane Lytton. She attended the Sylvia Young Theatre School in Marylebone which is a stage school also once attended by many British celebrities.
She is close friends with her co-stars from Eastenders Lacey Turner, Kara Tointon and Matt Di Angelo who played Stacey Slater, Dawn Swann and Deano Wicks respectively.
She first appeared on TV on the long running UK TV show EastEnders as Ruby Allen in 2005. She originally auditioned to play “Demi Miller” but got Ruby Allen instead. She then went on to win the title of “Sexiest Female” at the British Soap Awards in 2006. Soon after, she left the cast of EastEnders.
Later that year, she was a participant in the BBC 1 programme Strictly Come Dancing. Being 17 years old at the time, she was the youngest ever contestant to participate. She finally finished in 4th place out of 14 contestants after several performances which impressed the judges.
Her personality on the show made her popular with the public and she was asked to return to a Strictly On Tour in early 2008 for a tour around the UK.
In 2007, she had her first appearance in The Bill. She plays PC Beth Green, who is the latest recruit to the force and although inexpereinced, shows great attention to detail and good memory.
Louisa Lytton has also had other minor acting credits such as appearing in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as Emma Watson’s double. She has also appeared in various theatrical produtions such as Les Miserable and Annie in 2001. From 2008 to 2009, she will be in the Peter Pan Pantomine at the Milton Keynes theatre.
